It’s a hard-sell to convince me to eat soup in the height of summer. Except for laksa. Its spicy, creamy coconut broth is intoxicating and addictive - and it never grows old. But I think I feel this way, not because it’s the most delicious noodle soup on the face of the planet (next to ramen), but because it takes me back to my childhood when my mum would share one with me as a special treat at the local food court.
